It turns out the opener worked after I requested the service call. I was very impressed with my technician, Cody. He was polite, he checked everything several times just to make sure nothing was wrong with the opener. Sorry I had to shell out the $$ but that's life.

I was looking to only get springs replaced and was refused unless I purchased other add ons in a package which ended up doubling the quoted cost over the phone. Employee did good work but the job cost was way more than I believe it was worth
